He Loved Them to the End

As the disciples argue over who is greatest, Jesus gives them a radically different picture of greatness by kneeling down and washing their feet. His actions reveal a love that chooses to serve humbly—even washing the feet of Judas, whom He knew would betray Him—and point toward the deeper cleansing He would soon provide through the cross.
