Will We Stay?

I kept coming back to John's quiet insistence that he saw these things himself and that his testimony is true. He stayed through the crucifixion, watched Jesus die, and then had to live in the space between what Jesus had promised and what his eyes were telling him. It made me wonder what it looks like to stay when everything seems to say the promise cannot possibly be true.
